Sinharaja Forest Reserve holds a special place as both a UNESCO World Heritage Site and a Biosphere Reserve, protecting nearly two-thirds of Sri Lanka’s unique tree species. This ancient rainforest boasts exceptional biodiversity, with around 50% of its mammals and 95% of bird species found nowhere else on earth.
